Because of that, we can often streamline the repair process by eliminating the need to have you first go to a claim centre. If you have any insurance-related questions, give us a call and we can help clarify any concerns you may have, and help get you back on the road quickly.
Temporary Replacement Vehicles
Most insurance companies will cover the cost of putting you in a replacement vehicle if you have been involved in an accident. We have a fleet of 20 cars on location to help us better serve our customers. If you have a specific need for a certain vehicle for work or family purposes, we can often work with ICBC or your insurance company to help obtain a vehicle from a rental car company.
How the Collision Repair Process Works
A lot of people have never had to deal with a collision repair before. Here’s what to expect when you come to On Line Collision.
Step 1: Book Your Estimate
Call us, email us, or submit a request online. We’ll get you in for an assessment as quickly as possible. If your vehicle isn’t driveable, let us know and we can discuss your options.
Step 2: We Inspect — Thoroughly
Our collision repair experts don’t just quote what’s visible. We assess structural components, safety systems, and any underlying damage that a surface inspection would miss. You’ll get a clear, honest picture of what your vehicle needs.
Step 3: We Coordinate With Your Insurance
If you’re going through ICBC or another insurer, we handle that process for you. We work with ICBC and most other insurance companies operating in BC and can often eliminate the need for an extra trip to a claim centre.
Step 4: Repairs Begin
Your vehicle is repaired to manufacturer specifications using the proper parts and techniques for your make and model. You’ll receive updates throughout the process.
Step 5: Quality Inspection & Delivery
Before your vehicle leaves our shop, it goes through a final inspection. When you pick it up, it should look, drive, and feel the way it did before the accident.

How long does collision repair take?
It depends on the extent of the damage. Minor repairs can be completed in a few days, while more significant structural work may take 3 or more weeks. We’ll give you a realistic timeline upfront and keep you updated throughout.
Will my insurance cover a rental vehicle while my car is being repaired?
Most insurance policies—including ICBC—include some coverage for a replacement vehicle when your car is in for collision repairs. We keep 20 vehicles on-site and can also coordinate with ICBC and rental companies for specialty vehicles.
Is a repaired vehicle as safe as it was before the collision?
When repairs are done properly — to manufacturer specifications, by certified technicians — yes. That’s what our I-CAR Gold Class certification ensures. Not every shop repairs to that standard.
Do you work with insurance companies other than ICBC?
